The Shelby County History Gallery highlights businesses, schools, industries, and churches found throughout Shelby County over the last 200 years. From pens advertising businesses from yesteryear, to Chamber’s ranges and Shelbyville Desk Company desks, the gallery allows guests to take a close look at the artifacts that helped define and develop the county.
Other artifacts include pieces of the first cabin built in Shelby County by James Wilson and his family, pieces of the Linden Tree, and a display on Thomas Hendricks, the 21st Vice President of the United States, and a Shelbyville native.
The museum is also currently featuring St. Joseph Catholic Church, which is celebrating its 150 year anniversary. More information on that can be found here.
