Museum seeks participation for annual Christmas tree exhibit

The Shelby County Historical Society and Grover Museum will begin set up for the annual Festival of Trees exhibit on October 23rd and is asking community members to help make this year’s show a success. As 2018 marks the 200th anniversary of the county’s first settlers in the area that would later become Shelby County, this year’s theme is, “Celebrating 200 Years of Shelby County Memories: From Settlers to Today.”

In keeping with this theme, we would like to invite you to participate in this exhibit by entering a tree that celebrates your organization, business or family history in Shelby County. Do you have a favorite story from Shelby County’s past or a favorite former resident? You can celebrate them too! We encourage you to be as creative as you wish with this year’s theme.

If you wish to participate, please call 317-392-4634 or email assistantdirector@grovermuseum.org to reserve your spot. We look forward to celebrating our history with you!
